José de Ribera's works “Landscape with Fortress” and “Landscape with Shepherds”, representative of the artist's talent and mastery in landscape design, were temporarily loaned for the exhibition “JOSE DE RIBERA (1591-1652) LO SPAGNOLETTO” at the prestigious Petit Palais in Paris. The exhibition has been a real success, receiving more than 170,000 visitors from November 2024 to February of this year.
The two works, representative of Ribera's talent and mastery in landscape design, have been exhibited together with an exceptional selection of his artistic production in the French capital. This exhibition was a unique opportunity for international audiences to appreciate the relevance and impact of the Spanish master in the history of baroque art.
The work “Samson and Delilah” by Giovanni-Battista Paggi is once again exhibited in the Santa Teresa room, having completed its loan for the temporary exhibition “Painting and Poetry Between Renaissance and Baroque” at the Borghese Gallery in Rome.
The work, a masterful representation of biblical narrative through Paggi's pictorial talent, has been exhibited together with a careful selection of pieces that explore the relationship between painting and poetry in the Renaissance and Baroque. Its presence at the Galleria Borghese has allowed international audiences to admire its artistic and historical value in a privileged context.
The Casa de Alba Foundation celebrates the return of these works, which can be seen starting Monday, March 3 at the Monterrey Palace. These loans reaffirm the foundation's commitment to the preservation and dissemination of artistic heritage nationally and internationally.
